Created in 1928 by Walt Disney, Steamboat Willie is the first animated short featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and one of the first with
synchronized sound.


I created this paper pop-up sculpture as an homage to all the Disney Classics that start with the opening of a book.
Steamboat Willie was a milestone,
the very beginning of the animation industry we know now.
